For sale: The EICO MX-99 Multiplex Autodaptor is a vintage vacuum-tube FM stereo decoder from the early 1960s, designed to bring stereo reception to compatible FM tuners equipped with a multiplex output.
Using a dedicated tube-based decoding circuit, the MX-99 separates the stereo signal into left and right audio channels. Its automatic stereo/mono operation, adjustable channel separation and distinctive brushed aluminium front panel make it an interesting piece of early stereo Hi-Fi technology.
This example comes with its perforated metal enclosure and original-style front controls.
The unit has been serviced, cleaned internally and is fully working.
