a Sony TA-212 Integrated Stereo Amplifier, a classic late-1970s hi-fi component featuring a brushed aluminium front panel, illuminated analogue power meters and a straightforward selection of controls.
Producing 12 watts RMS per channel into 8 ohms, the TA-212 offers a traditional two-channel amplifier design with inputs for a turntable, tuner and cassette deck. Its distinctive central meter display shows the output levels of the left and right channels, while the built-in loudness compensation, bass and treble adjustments allow the sound to be tailored to your preference.
This particular amplifier has received technical attention, including replacement of a meter and illumination lamp, cleaning of the potentiometers and adjustment of the power amplifier.
